Peruvian Explorer is a family owned business and nonprofit organization that encourages cultural identity and social change by developing arts and sports programs, as well as cultural and skilled activities This creates an exchange between tourists and our community that benefits both the local inhabitants of the areas that we visit and the people who are provided our travel services.

This organization was created as a response to the overwhelming power of destruction that big travel companies have created for the environmental and human resources of Peru. We contrast this force by creating and preserving our own natural and cultural legacy. This passion for our history and our concern for helping people has led us to practice what other companies only promote for their own gains. That is real SUSTAINABLE TOURISM.

We are three generations of people who dramatically witnessed, and then suffered the consequences, of the practices of these big companies. We have witnessed our poverty stricken communites being taken advantage of, and the need of the native communities in the Andes being exploited by unconcerned business interests.

We are profoundly concerned for the living conditions of people directly influenced by tourism, and protest the baseless rhetoric promoted by these companies working in Peru. All throughout our lifetimes, we have seen a merciless exploitation of the natural and human resources. Hundreds of native comunities and their environments have been swallowed by this monsterous greed. Peruvian people are forced to abandon their lands and migrate to the cities, leaving their language, folklore, and culture behind.

Thus, we strongly refused to be weak bystanders and victims to these impositions. We will stubbornly improve our situation by creating new ways to help people, begining with our most impoverished citizens. This can be acomplished by improving people´s skills and education, and by managing and encouraging harmonious and selfless efforts for the future of our children.
